Katie represents clients before the Immigration Courts, USCIS, and Maryland family courts in asylum, VAWA, SIJS, custody, and other complex humanitarian matters. Katie tackles difficult cases that other attorneys decline and aggressively fights for clients facing complex legal and factual obstacles. She is especially passionate about politically-based asylum claims, family reunification, and helping survivors build safety and stability for themselves and their children. Katie believes every case deserves serious preparation, creative legal strategy, and an attorney willing to keep fighting when the process feels impossible. Katie will fight to reunite your family and free you from the shadows.

Brittany Rooks
Paralegal
Brittany has worked alongside Katie since about 2019 on immigration matters before both USCIS and the Immigration Courts. She is dedicated to supporting clients through every stage of their case, including complex removal defense matters and Special Immigrant Juvenile and custody cases. Brittany is passionate about helping families navigate difficult circumstances with compassion and care.

Brittany earned her Paralegal Certificate from Boston University and is a commissioned Notary Public in Frederick County, Maryland.
